Post-it, Cuban Contemporary Art, is a visual arts contest that calls for the participation of Cuban artists under 35 years of age. It arose in 2013 as an initiative of the National Center of Plastic Arts Collage Habana (currently UEB Art Galleries), of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC) and that since then has been held annually, having its organizational headquarters in Galiano Gallery.
Post-it began – in the words of its founder, María Milián – as “a project that, from the institution, suggests promoting and promoting a collective criterion of the most current of Cuban artistic creation”, without distinctions between manifestations of visual arts. One of its peculiarities lies in the interest in supporting emerging creation in the country, as it offers exhibition spaces for the selected works, as well as material support and metal prizes for the winners.
