The art historian and curator Rosemary Rodríguez (* Havanna, 1984) shows in the exhibition EVERYDAY UNIVERSE with works of Hektor Frank (* Havana, 1961) and Abel López (* Havanna, 1985), how scarcity gives rise to artistic impulses. In Cuba, in the early 1990s, when the former Soviet Union ceased to exist and the gross national product of Cuba collapsed by more than 30%.
